Hi my name is Amy, welcome to my world!

Why I started this blog:

A Splash of Love was created because of my love for food. For the longest time, I wanted to be a chef. However, my love for being around children and wanting to make a difference in a child's life, outranked my idea of becoming a chef. I love cooking not only for myself, but for others. I am constantly on Pinterest, probably too much, and the majority of my pins are of food. So, I thought why not put my love of Pinterest and food together and start a blog. The majority of this blog is of recipes I have found on Pinterest and decided to tackle. However, people know that I love food, so they will give me recipes and every once in awhile they will appear on my blog.

A little about myself:

I am a student at Texas State University in San Marcos.

I am an education major. 
My degree is early childhood-6th grade education; my plan is to become a kindergarten teacher. 

I am in an organization called Young Life and I am loving it.

I've been in a happy relationship for 3 years with this handsome man. We met my junior year of high school through theatre. We are currently in a long distance relationship. He is a Radio, Television, and Film major at UNT. It's tough, but we are getting through it one day at a time.
